Steel-Framed Deck

The old dairy at this rural property had been converted into guest accommodation, but as it was built on a slope, it lacked a level access point.

A deck was built off a set of French doors to create a level access point and an outdoor area, creating a seamless flow between indoors and out.

The property is in a fire-prone area with the maximum Bushfire Attack Level Flame Zone (BAL-FZ) rating, so the deck needed to comply with specific building requirements.

A Steel-Deck frame was designed online, ordered at Bunnings and built on site.

Then Ubiq Inex cement-based composite boards, which are deemed non-combustible, were laid.
